KALENA NASH, OFFICE ASSISTANT
Born in Brooklyn, NY to two musician parents, Kalena did not have to go far to explore the world of music and has done so from a very young age. Raised in Rockland County, NY, she began finding her voice in community theatre productions of Broadway plays such as Aida, The Wiz, and Dreamgirls; she then went on to study classical voice, musical theater and drama at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
Shortly thereafter, she discovered her love for jazz. She studied jazz and vocal performance at New School University in Manhattan, under the tutelage of such great musicians as Janet Lawson, Amy London, Michael Wolff, Kirk Nurock, Rachel Z, and many others.
In addition to freelancing and recording with various R&B, funk, and jazz groups in the tristate area, she has fronted The K. Nash Quartet, which performed modern jazz standards, and continues to write material for her own solo project.
